Who the truck suits
Shippers with a few pallets to a full box, going direct, often to a stop without a dock.
- Distributors and wholesalers
- Customer and store replenishment a few pallets at a time, delivered direct instead of through LTL terminals.
- Manufacturers
- Finished goods to a warehouse, parts between plants, or a hot order that can’t wait for the next LTL pickup.
- Retailers
- Store transfers, new-store sets and backroom restocks, with a liftgate for locations that have no dock.
- Building supply
- Palletized materials, fixtures and cabinets to showrooms and job sites with firm, level ground at the liftgate.
- Trade shows and events
- Booth freight and displays delivered inside the move-in window the show sets, and collected again at move-out.
- Residential and limited-access stops
- Homes, schools, churches, storefronts and gated sites. The liftgate lowers freight to the ground, so no dock is needed.
When to book something else
Typical capacity is about 12 standard pallets or roughly 10,000 lb, with a tuck-under liftgate.
- Placarded hazmat
Anything that requires hazmat placards. If the freight has a hazard class, name it when you send the load.
- Loads over roughly 10,000 lb
That is about the payload of a 26-ft non-CDL box truck. Heavier freight needs a bigger truck.
- Temperature-controlled freight
The box has no reefer unit, so freight that has to hold a set temperature belongs with a reefer carrier.
- More than about 12 pallets
A full load of pallets fits a 53-ft trailer better and costs less per pallet.
- A single parcel or a few small boxes
A parcel carrier will cost you less.

- The signed BOL comes at pickup and the signed POD on the day of delivery.

What should a quote request include?
Pickup and delivery city or ZIP, the ready date, pallet count and weight, dimensions if the freight is not standard pallets, and any liftgate, appointment or residential needs.
Can you work to appointment windows?
Yes. Put the window in the request and the pickup plan is built around it. If a window cannot be met, dispatch says so before you book.
What paperwork do I get?
A rate confirmation before pickup, the signed BOL at pickup and a signed POD after delivery.
Do you take partial loads?
Yes. A few pallets that need to move now are exactly what a box truck is for, without the terminal transfers of LTL.
Can I set up a recurring run?
Yes. Daily or weekly runs are quoted as a dedicated lane. Tell dispatch the schedule, stops and typical volume.
